Measuring Guide

With a little preparation, delivery can be a breeze. Use this handy guide to measure for fit and choose the correct size furniture.

You’ve found the perfect piece of furniture, but is it perfect for your space? Use this handy guide to understand key measurements, prep your space, and order with confidence.

01

Confirm Product Dimensions

Confirm the length (c), height (b), depth (a) of your piece on our website or product tear sheet.

for more detailed dimensions if needed.

Some of our pieces have legs, feet or bases that may be removed for delivery through smaller spaces. Please inquire for specific details.

Our furniture measurements are calculated from the widest, deepest & tallest points, therefore overhangs, outward curves or angles are included in the overall dimensions.

02

Visualize & Plan

Use masking tape or a cardboard template cut to the length and depth of your piece to map out how it will fit in your space.

Don’t forget the little things, like whether you want an end table next to the piece or an ottoman in front of it. Add these to the layout if you have them to get a better feel.

03

Remember to take into account the little things that might get in the way of a smooth delivery. Unexpected things like low-hanging light fixtures, easy-to-trip-over rugs, and more can cause a snag. Clear them out of the way, and delivery should go off without a hitch.

Map the Delivery Route

To avoid any surprises on delivery day, make sure your furniture can fit through doorways, up stairs, in elevators, around landings, and down the hallways of your home.

Measure the heights and widths of entryways and hallways both inside and outside your home.

Measure your entry clearance - if there are walls on either side of the doorway, measure the distance from wall to wall through the doorway.

Consider ceiling height, stairways, banisters, corners and low-hanging lights.

Determine the best path from outside to the room where your new piece will be placed by taking careful measurements.

04

The overall height of the piece must be smaller than the width of any doorway, staircase, or hallway that it will pass through.

Compare Measurements

Once you’ve measured any obstacles in your home, compare them to the dimensions of your piece.

prior to placing your order if you have any questions about fit.

05

Prepare for Delivery

Remove any frames, mirrors or artwork from walls to avoid bumps and scratches. Remove any potential obstacles between the door and your furniture’s final placement—plants, chairs, accent tables, etc.

Please confine pets to ensure they won’t be underfoot or escape out open doors.
